After a cohort completes a workshop, they are organized into Peace Clubs to continue the peace building process in their own community. In the years that they have been operating, CBOPE/Ihumure has created fourteen Peace Clubs in 5 Sectors in the District. These clubs meet once per week where they practice skills and engage in social economic activities such as saving, breeding, or farming. Clubs meet at our Center and in the communities we serve. Our peace clubs include people of all ages, from young children learning good hygiene to the elderly and people with disabilities who save money together to create a social safety net.
We even have a club for women’s drumming!
